Jesus was pro (every) life

Have you ever considered how shockingly pro (every) life our Savior was?

Think back two thousand years about whom and how and how much Jesus loved. Jesus loved the lives of lepers and adulterers and prostitutes and Pharisees. Despite their messiness, he didn’t abort his mission to die on a cross for their sins.

Thankfully, Jesus hasn’t changed one bit. Jesus knows all the reasons why we sin, the something-to-them reasons and the senseless ones, yet he loves us all the way to eternal life. When Jesus died on a cross and rose from the dead, he made a promise that, through faith in him, God would adopt us as his own children, that our Father would set the table with a place for us. He promised that he would leave the light on and the door unlocked so we could always come back, always have a room to rest, and always have grace to come home to.

The sexually immoral and the selfish, the abortionist and the apathetic, all of us can come to Jesus and have every need met, every sin erased, every mistake covered so that God would be for us. The apostle Paul promises, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame” (Romans 10:11). Anyone—that’s you—who believes in him—that’s Jesus—will never—never, ever, ever—be put to shame. We will always belong.

Because Jesus was pro (you and God together forever) life.
