Man, that’s deep!

The Challenger Deep in the Mariana Trench is the deepest known point in the earth’s oceans. In 2010 the United States Center for Coastal and Ocean Mapping measured the depth of the Challenger Deep at 10,994 meters (36,070 feet) below sea level with an estimated vertical accuracy of ±40 meters. If Mount Everest, the highest mountain on the earth, were placed at this location, it would be covered by over one mile of water. Man, that’s deep!

You know what else is deep? God’s wisdom! “Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out!” (Romans 11:33).

How about you? Where do you find your wisdom? Do you go with the latest fad? Do you buy into the “party it up now” idea? Do you feel you are in control of your life and your destiny?

God’s wisdom was to send his Son to die for you! This wisdom also includes whatever situation you’re dealing with right now—it will work out. If you doubt, go back to just how deep God’s love is for you. It’s deeper than the Challenger Deep; and that, my friends, is deep! God’s Son scaled more than the Mariana Trench; he towered over the trenches of sin and has forgiven you.

So as the waves of life come crashing in on you, hold on to the only true life preserver there is, the wisdom and knowledge that only God gives.
