Millenials are people too

To all of you who graduated high school since 2000, on behalf of Baby Boomers and Gen Xers everywhere, I want to apologize for talking about you like you couldn’t hear us. Sorry about the insensitive remarks about tattoos, piercings, self-centeredness, and laziness. You don’t need to feel inadequate because you aren’t. I like many of your causes and your sass. I believe it’s just what the world needs if you can work it right. The fact is, you won. You’re the largest age group on the earth, and the rest of us desperately need you. You’ll be in charge of the world we grow old in. I’m praying you’ll be kinder to us than we have been to you.

Please give Jesus a fair shot in your life. He’s a lot like you. He was misunderstood and still is. He’s the ingathering of every race and class of people. He was the first millennial. A thousand years is nothing in his sight. He puts the past behind him. Your future now and forever means everything to him. Ask him to bless you so you can show his love to everyone. Jesus is the King of glory. This is his promise to you. You “will receive blessing from the Lord and righteousness from the God of your salvation. Such is the generation of those who seek him, who seek the face of the God of Jacob” (Psalm 24:5,6 ESV).
