Stage presence

Everyone has stage presence in the virtual world of social media. There we can create our own realities while interacting on a global scale like never before. It’s in these digital settings we usually don’t hesitate to tie ourselves up in knots like we might in face-to-face situations. We share our thoughts, actions, and whereabouts in the most excruciating, even hyperbolic detail. False courage grows in this so-called safe setting.

Let’s reevaluate our stage presence. Who is the star? Is it real? Who makes guest appearances? Do we text, tweet, pin, or email “whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable” (Philippians 4:8)?

Our fingertips are a tap away from posting some of the most uplifting Christian faith stories! Let’s grab the opportunity to share how awesome the work of Jesus is. Provide information that will send people seeking answers to their lives from Bible-believing ministries like Time of Grace. There they will discover Jesus in every platform available. Use the Word of God to speak power that enlivens dead souls for heaven’s sake!

Whether our audience is a few or in the millions, there are lost souls in our circles who need to know a personally invested Lord and Savior is their Morning Star in this dark world. Let’s step aside and announce Christ has the center stage.

“Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you” (Philippians 4:9).
