1. Introduction

Time of Grace Ministry (“Time of Grace,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a nonprofit ministry organized under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, with offices in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. We are committed to protecting the privacy of everyone who visits our website, gives to our ministry, subscribes to our content, or contacts us for prayer and support.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have regarding that information.

Scope

This Policy applies to:

• es.timeofgrace.org — our Spanish-language website
• All information we receive both online and offline, on any platform, including electronic, written, and oral communications

Certain related properties are operated on third-party platforms that maintain their own privacy practices in addition to this Policy:

2. Our Donor Privacy Commitment

It is Time of Grace Ministry policy to respect the privacy of the donor. We will not sell, share, or trade our donors’ names or personal information with any other entity, nor send mailings to our donors on behalf of other organizations. This policy applies to all information received by Time of Grace, both online and offline, on any platform, as well as any electronic, written, or oral communications. To the extent any donations are processed through a third-party service provider, our donors’ information will only be used for purposes necessary to process the donation.

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Information You Provide to Us

We collect information you choose to give us, including:

Our ministry addresses subjects such as anxiety, depression, grief, addiction, relationships, and doubt. When you submit a prayer request, a testimonial, or a message to our team, you may voluntarily share deeply personal information, including details about your health, mental health, faith, family, or personal circumstances.

We want you to understand clearly:

• You are never required to share this information to use our website or receive our content.
• We treat prayer requests and personal messages as confidential pastoral communications. They are accessible only to the staff and trained volunteers responsible for responding to them.
• We do not use the content of prayer requests or personal messages for advertising, audience targeting, or analytics purposes.
• We do not share the content of prayer requests with third parties except as required by law, or where we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to prevent imminent harm to you or another person.

If you are in crisis, please contact emergency services or a crisis line directly. Our prayer request system is not monitored around the clock and is not an emergency service.

3.3 Payment Information

We do not collect or store full payment card numbers on our servers. Donations and purchases are processed by PCI-compliant third-party payment processors. Those processors receive your payment details directly and provide us only with confirmation of the transaction and the information necessary to acknowledge your gift and issue tax receipts.

3.4 Information Collected Automatically

When you visit our website, certain information is collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies:

• Pages visited and time spent on the site
• Device type, operating system, and browser type
• General location (city or region level, derived from IP address)
• Traffic source (search engine, email, social media, direct, advertisement)
• Actions taken on the site (clicks, video plays, form submissions, donations)
• Referring and exit pages

Important: These tools do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or mailing address unless you provide that information directly through a form. We do not pass personally identifiable information into our analytics or advertising tools, and doing so would violate the policies of those platforms.

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies

A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. We use cookies and similar technologies (such as pixels, tags, and local storage) for the purposes described below.

4.1 Cookie Categories

We group cookies into four categories. You control all categories except Functional through our cookie consent banner.

Functional (Always Active)

Strictly necessary for the website to operate. These cannot be switched off.

Preferences

Remember choices you make to personalize your experience, such as language selection, video playback settings, and dismissed notices.

Statistics (Analytics)

Help us understand how visitors find and use our website so we can improve it. Data is aggregated and reported as trends, not as individual profiles.

Marketing

Used to measure the effectiveness of our outreach and to show relevant ministry content to people who have visited our site. This is the category most relevant to your privacy choices.

4.2 How We Handle Consent

We do not place Statistics or Marketing cookies on your device before you give permission. When you first visit our site, a consent banner appears with clear options to accept or decline. Your choice is enforced at the script level — declining means the associated tracking scripts are not loaded at all, not merely hidden.

You can change your choice at any time by clicking “Manage Consent” in the footer of any page.

We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser or extension transmits a GPC signal, we treat it as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information and of targeted advertising.

4.3 Understanding the Meta Pixel

Because this is a common area of confusion, we want to be transparent about how the Meta Pixel works:

• The Pixel records actions taken on our website — page views, video plays, form submissions, donations — and sends that activity to Meta.
• The Pixel does not send Meta your name, email address, or other personal identifiers.
• Meta maintains its own user profiles based on people who use Facebook and Instagram. Meta may match the browser or device activity it receives from our site to a user it already knows on its platform.
• In other words, Meta is not receiving new personal information about you from us, but Meta may associate your visit to our site with an account it already has.
• Meta independently manages and uses data within its own platform according to its own policies. See Meta’s Privacy Policy.

If you decline Marketing cookies, the Meta Pixel does not load and none of the above occurs.

4.4 Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” setting. Because there is no industry-standard interpretation of this signal, our website does not respond to Do Not Track. We do, however, honor the Global Privacy Control signal as described in Section 4.2.

5. Third-Party Service Providers

We use trusted vendors to operate our ministry. These providers process information only as necessary to deliver their services to us and are contractually restricted from using it for their own purposes.

Providing services to us is not the same as us selling your information. Our donor privacy commitment in Section 2 remains absolute.

6. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Process your donation, issue tax receipts, and provide donor acknowledgment
• Deliver the devotions, texts, videos, and resources you have requested
• Respond to your prayer requests, questions, and messages
• Fulfill and ship orders for books and resources
• Understand which content is helpful so we can create more of it
• Measure whether our outreach is effectively reaching people who need it
• Communicate about ministry updates, events, and opportunities to give
• Maintain the security and integrity of our website and systems
• Comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations, including nonprofit reporting requirements

7. How We Share Information

We share personal information only in these circumstances:

1. With service providers who perform functions on our behalf, as described in Section 5.
2. With advertising and analytics platforms, but only in the limited, cookie-based form described in Section 4, and only if you have consented to Marketing or Statistics cookies.
3. When required by law — in response to a subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or to comply with regulatory obligations.
4. To protect safety — where we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to prevent imminent physical harm.
5. In connection with an organizational change — such as a merger with another ministry, in which case your information would remain subject to protections at least as strong as those in this Policy.

We do not sell your personal information for money.

We want to be precise about one point, because privacy laws in several states define “sale” and “sharing” more broadly than everyday usage. When you consent to Marketing cookies, information about your visit is transmitted to advertising platforms for the purpose of cross-context behavioral advertising. Under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act, that transmission may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, even though no money changes hands and no donor list is ever transferred. You can prevent this entirely by declining Marketing cookies, using the “Manage Consent” link in our footer, or enabling Global Privacy Control in your browser.

This does not alter our donor privacy commitment: we never sell, rent, trade, or exchange donor lists, names, mailing addresses, email addresses, or phone numbers with any other organization.

8. Your Privacy Rights

8.1 Everyone

Regardless of where you live, you may:

• Unsubscribe from email using the link at the bottom of any message we send
• Stop text messages by replying STOP (see Section 9)
• Change your cookie choices via “Manage Consent” in our footer
• Request access, correction, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you
• Ask us to stop contacting you entirely

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information in Section 15.

8.2 U.S. State Privacy Rights

Residents of certain U.S. states have specific rights under state privacy laws. Depending on your state, these may include the right to:

• Know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose
• Access a copy of your personal information in a portable format
• Correct inaccurate personal information
• Delete your personal information, subject to legal retention requirements
• Opt out of targeted advertising and of the sale or sharing of personal information
• Opt out of profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects
• Appeal a denial of any of these requests
• Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights

We do not use your personal information for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

To opt out of targeted advertising and the sale or sharing of personal information, decline Marketing cookies in our consent banner, use the “Manage Consent” link in our footer, or enable Global Privacy Control in your browser.

Authorized agents. You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We may require verification of the agent’s authority and of your identity.

Verification. To protect your information, we will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before fulfilling a request. We may ask you to confirm information already in our records.

Response times. We will respond to verifiable requests within 45 days, and may extend that period by an additional 45 days where reasonably necessary, in which case we will notify you.

Appeals. If we decline your request, you may appeal by writing to us at the address in Section 15 with the subject line “Privacy Appeal.” We will respond to appeals within 60 days. If your appeal is denied, you may contact your state Attorney General to submit a complaint.

8.3 Visitors from Outside the United States

Time of Grace Ministry is based in the United States, and our website is operated from the United States. If you access our site from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your personal information on the following legal bases: your consent (for cookies, marketing communications, and optional submissions), the performance of a contract (to fulfill donations and orders), our legitimate interests (to operate and improve our ministry), and legal obligations (tax and accounting requirements). You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing of your data, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

9. Text Messaging (SMS/MMS)

By subscribing, you have provided us with consent to send you text messages regarding Time of Grace Ministry alerts, event reminders, new content, and requests for volunteer support. Message frequency varies by events/preference. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undeliverable messages. If your phone does not support MMS, you’ll receive SMS instead.

Opt-Out or Stop

If you wish to stop receiving text messages from Time of Grace Ministry, reply to any text message from 1.833.559.8443 and in the reply, text STOP. You may also stop text messages by calling us at 414.562.8463 or emailing us at info@timeofgrace.org.

Help or Support

If at any time you need our contact information on how to stop text messages, reply to any of our text messages from 1.833.559.8443 and in the reply, text HELP. Upon receiving your text message, we will send you a text message with this information. In general, the messages we send provide you with information about our upcoming events, new content, and other announcements. Some of the text messages we send may include links to websites. To access these websites, you will need a web browser and internet access.

Supported Carriers

This program is supported by Alltel, AT&T, Boost, Sprint, Verizon Wireless, Virgin Mobile, MetroPCS, T-Mobile and U.S. Cellular. T-Mobile is not liable for delayed or undeliverable messages. Products and services are compatible with AT&T handsets.

SMS Privacy

We respect your privacy and will not distribute your mobile phone number to any third parties.

10. Email Communications

When you subscribe to our daily devotions or ministry updates, we use your email address to deliver the content you requested and to share ministry news and giving opportunities.

Our email messages may include tracking that tells us whether a message was opened and which links were clicked. We use this only to understand which content is helpful and to avoid sending messages that are not being read. You can prevent open tracking by disabling image loading in your email client.

You may unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any email, or by contacting us directly. We process unsubscribe requests promptly. Please note that if you unsubscribe from marketing emails, we may still send you transactional messages such as donation receipts and order confirmations.

11. Children’s Privacy

Our website is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at info@timeofgrace.org and we will delete it promptly.

Some of our content addresses topics intended for teen and adult audiences. We encourage parents and guardians to be involved in their children’s use of our resources.

12. Data Security

We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) across our website, restricted staff access on a need-to-know basis, and PCI-compliant third-party payment processing.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. While we work to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and the appropriate authorities as required by applicable law.

13. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy:

When information is no longer needed, we delete it or render it anonymous.

14. Links to Other Websites

Our website contains links to other sites, including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Amazon, and our donation and store platforms. This Policy does not apply to those websites. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any site you visit.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or in applicable law. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
