Karen Spiegelberg lives in Wisconsin with her husband, Jim. She has three married daughters, six grandchildren, and has been a foster mom to many. Years ago she was encouraged to start a women’s ministry but was unsure of the timing. When her brother died suddenly, it hit her hard—that we can’t wait until the time seems right for our ministry; the time is now. And so in 2009, with God’s direction, A Word for Women was born. Karen finds great comfort in Psalm 31:14,15: “But I trust in you, O Lord. . . . My times are in your hands.”
